David C. Leavy’s career in media and communications is defined by his presence at critical inflection points in the industry’s history. During his more than two decades at Discovery, Inc. and later Warner Bros. Discovery, he played an instrumental role in milestones that reshaped the media landscape. These include the company’s NASDAQ public listing in 2008, the landmark acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive in 2018, the launch of the streaming platform discovery+ in 2021, and the Discovery/Eurosport Olympic rights agreement covering broadcast across Europe.
As Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Warner Bros. Discovery, David C. Leavy managed an expansive portfolio that crossed corporate communications, global government relations, public policy, corporate marketing and events, and social responsibility programming.
